How to get to Milan.
Milan is a major city in northern Italy. You can easily get there by plane, train or bus.
If you travel by plane, you can fly to one of the three main airports:
If you travel by train, you can arrive at one of the two main train stations: Milano Centrale and Milano Porta Garibaldi.
If you travel by bus, you can arrive at the main bus station: Milano Lampugnano.
How to get to the venue.
- From Milano Malpensa: take the Malpensa Express train directly from the airport to Milano Centrale. Alternatively, take a private bus to Milano Centrale from the airport, see here. Some suggested companies are: Terravision and Malpensa Shuttle.
- From Milano Linate: take the Metro line 4 (blue line) from Linate Aeroporto to Susa. The venue is a 10-minute walk from there.
- From Bergamo Orio al Serio: take a private bus to Milano centrale from the airport, see here. Some suggested companies are Terravision and Orio Shuttle.
- From Milano Centrale: take Metro line 2 (green line) from Centrale FS to Piola. The venue is a 5-minute walk from there.
- From Milano Garibaldi: take Metro line 2 (green line) from Garibaldi FS to Piola. The venue is a 5-minute walk from there.
- From the Milano Lampugnano: take the Metro line 1 (red line) from Lampugnano to San Babila and then the Metro Line 4 (blue line) from San Babila to Susa. The venue is a 10-minute walk from there.
Practical information
The cost of the bus/Metro ticket is €2.20 and is valid for 90 minutes. You can buy it directly on the transport by using your credit/debit card, or you can buy it from the Metro vending machines, and lastly, you can buy it by using the ATM app. Another convenient way of going around Milan is by bike. The council bike sharing is called BikeMi, which has fixed stations widely spread in the city, see here. To use BikeMi you have to download the app and buy a subscription (either daily for €4.50 or weekly €9), which includes (per trip) 30 minutes for free and then €0.50 for each subsequent 30 minutes, see here. Other bike sharing options include Dott, Lime, and RideMovi.
